VEHICLE POLICIES

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PARKING PASS – YOU MUST PARK IN GENERAL PARKING !!!

  1. Arrive early enough to offload your vehicle and move it to your parking area before 8:30 am (You and your staff).
NO MOVING YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE 6:00 pm ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS.
  2. Park in your designated area (see your parking pass and the map), or park in GENERAL parking or the YELLOW lot if you plan on leaving early—your pass color doesn’t matter for those lots.
  3. Follow the parking staff’s instructions. Do what they say.
  4. DO NOT drive on the Festival grounds between 9:00am and 6:00 pm.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  • Gates at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum open on a timer at 6:00 am on Saturday morning. Traffic arriving before 6:00 am will have to wait for the gate to open.
  • If you have a parking pass, follow the a”car pass” signs. GENERAL parking has no vehicle entrance to the Festival grounds. The general admission ticket booths block that road.
  • Your parking pass(es) and parking lots have matching colors. Check the map to be sure where you’re supposed to park.
  • Check in with your steward.
  • Some competitions begin before 9:00 am, so pedestrians are already on the grounds before we officially open.

LEAVING THE FESTIVAL

  • Before 6:00 pm, EXIT ONLY from the YELLOW and PINK lots.
  • if you need to leave before 6:00 pm, please park in the YELLOW or GENERAL parking lots, regardless of your permit’s color.
  • Your parking pass(es) and parking lots have matching colors. Check the map to be sure where you’re supposed to park.
  • After 6:00 pm follow the Festival’s exit signs (going where you came in). The general admission ticket booths will still be blocking the entry from GENERAL parking until 7:00 pm, so follow the VEHICLE exit signs!

OTHER

  • Do not move any barriers on roadways.
  • After 6:00 pm you can move your vehicle closer to the pavilion, where we’re holding the Ceilidh. We will have food and beverages for sale. The music is free.

You can be towed if you don’t follow these instructions. The impound lot is 20 miles north of the Festival site.
