The Celtic Society’s annual contest for the cover art of our Celtic Festival program.

Rules for submission of art for Celtic Festival Program Cover
Properties: May be Black and White, or in color, free hand or computer generated. All work must be original. Program covers may be in color. Photographs are acceptable.
Subject Matter: The work must be Celtic in subject matter and connected with reality or the traditions of the Celtic peoples. This may include landscapes, people at work or play, fantasy related to Celtic folklore. Work must be non political in nature.
Size: Not larger than 8 inches by 11 ½ inches nor smaller than 4 inches by 6 inches.
Submission: All entries must be received by March 1 of the year in which the art will be used. Work to be submitted to the address listed above.
- Entries should be accompanied by a separate sheet of paper with the following information:
- the name, complete mailing address, telephone access number, and age of the artist. E-mail is also helpful.
- the category (i.e. Cover art)
Entries will be judged by a selection committee chosen by the Celtic Society of Southern Maryland, Inc. festival committee or designee. Submissions become the property of The Celtic Society of Southern Maryland.
Winning art will be selected for use by CSSM for program covers, or inside the program for the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival and Highland Gathering.
Winners will receive 2 tickets for admission to the Festival at a maximum value of $40, plus payment of $50.00.
Winners will be contacted by mail or telephone by March 31st.
