Highland Games and Competitions

Competitions are held every year. Most of the competitions have both amateur and professional grades. Amateurs are encouraged to compete in the appropriate division. Feel free to ask on the day of the Festival about what is needed to qualify for competing in a later year.

The Celtic Society sponsors children’s games as well. There is no pre-registration required and prizes are awarded. Contact Children@cssm.org for details or suggestions.

All of our competitors are required to bring identification and sign a 'Hold Harmless Agreement' shown below.

Hold Harmless Agreement

I, ______________________________________, hereby waive all rights and claims that I may have against the Celtic Society of Southern Maryland, Inc. (CSSM), it's officers, agents, and membership; and the Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in the event of any injuries that may be suffered by me or my possessions, including musical instruments, and equipment, during the competition. I hereby also grant permission for the CSSM to use my photo, likeness or rendering in it's publicity or on it's website within reason.
